corrosion- the oxidation of metals with oxygen present in atmosphere. but the corrosion aluminum is useful coz it protects the mental from further corrosion.
eg. Cu + O2 ―> CuO
CuO is black in colour
Rancidity- the fasle smell and taste coming from fats and oils due to the oxidation that took place with oxygen present in atmosphere.
