frencel defect - France defect occur in ionic solid in which cation is smaller in size.
cation is dislocate from the lattis site and occupy interstitial site.
e.g. AgCl, AgBr
Scotty defect- Scotty defect occur in ionic solid in which cation and anoin are equal in size.
both catio and anion are missing from lattice site.
