Foreign policy of appeasement was the acceptance of hostil e demands of an aggressive nation to gain peace.
Britain and France followed a policy of appeasement towards Germany and Italy as they felt that the real cause of their greivances was the Treaty of Versailles. If these were removed it would not affect world peace.
Further more they wanted to check the rising tide if Bolshevism and communism
Britain and France feared that Germany and Italy would divert towards Bolshevism therefore allowed Germany to rearm and remilitarise.
Therefore without this policy the, Fascism and Nazism didn't survive for long and wouldn't have unleashed the second world war
