When the oxdies of sulphur and nitrogen is released in air due to the poolution caused by the factories. They remain suspended in air only until next rain. When rain occurs these oxides react with water to form sulphuric acid and nitric acid which is also called as acid rain.
Its harmful effects are:-
• it destroys the crops
•skin diseases
•damage to buildings For eg. Marble cancer
