When hydrogen atoms combine to form molecules of hydrogen, 433 KJ/mol energy is released.

H+H_H2+433 KJ/MOL

Whenever atoms combine to form a molecule ,there is always decrease in the energy

❤.VALENCE BOND THEORY(VBT)

This theory explains the shapes of covalent molecules as well as the directions of the bonds in them.

❤.FORMATION OF H2 MOLECULE :

⭐. Hydrogen atom contains one unpairedvs-orbital.

⭐. The unpaired s-orbital of one Hydrogen atom directly overlaps axially with another unpaired s-orbital of the other Hydrogen atom and forms one sigma bond.
