Formation of rainbow in 3 dimensional cone shapes:

The cloud of water droplets that creates the rainbow is clearly spread out in three dimensions. The geometry of reflection, though, is such that entire droplets that reflect the rainbow's light to you lie in a cone with your eyes at the tip.

Answer with Explanation:

Rainbow is  a meteorological phenomenon which is caused by dispersion, reflection and refraction in water droplets .

Rainbow is formed in the sky after rain.

When rain stop after just the sun appears in the sky.

After rain, the rain droplets suspended in the air. When the sun light passes through the water droplets then water droplets act as  a prism  and disperse the sun light in seven colors.

The shape of rainbow is not actually semi- circular or arc. It is that shape which I see.We can't see the full shape of rainbow because the horizon cuts off the lower half.

The appearance of rainbow depends on where I stand. When we move then the rainbow moves.

The sunlight will reflect from the droplet at an angle of 40-42 degrees.

When you draw  a geometric shape between all droplets that reflect the rainbow's light and your eyes , the shape will be  a cone with your eyes at one of the two tips; the sun situated will be situated at the other.
