Explain the formation of sodium chloride with help of electron -dot structure (At numbers: Na-11 , C1-17)​

it forms ionic compounds so sodium donates it's one electron because it is electropositive metal and reach noble gas configuration after loading one electron and chlorine is electronegative atom so it receives one electron to reach the noble gas configuration.
