Answer:
Soil is formed by breaking down of rocks at or near the surface of the Earth through various physical, chemical, and biological processes by various factors such as the sun, water, wind, and living organisms. ... These cracks lead to the breaking up of huge rocks into smaller pieces.

Explanation:
soil is it thin layer of material covering the earth surface and is formed from the weathering of rocks. it is made up mainly of mineral particles, organic materials, air , water, and living organisms. all all of which erect slowly ate constantly.
most of the plants get their nutrients from the soil and they are the main source of food for humans animals and birds.
soil is a valuable resources that needs to be carefully managed as it is easily damaged, washdoor was door blown away.
The Soil Profile
as soil develops over time, layers from the soil profile. most of the soil profiles cover the earth as to main layers ----
- Topsoil
- Subsoil
Most soil exhibit 3 main horizons :
A Horizons-
humus rich topsoil ware nutrient organic matters and biological activities are highest. the a horizen is usually darker than other harizon because of the organic material.
B Horizons-
Clay rich subsoil. this harizon is always less fertile then the top soil but hold more moisture. it generally have a lighter colour and less biological horizone then the A horizon.
C Horizons-
underlying weathered rock from which the A and B horizon from.
some soils also have O horizon mainly consisting of plant litter which has accumulated on the soil surface.
5 main interacting factors affect the formation of soil:-
- Plant materials - minerals forming the basis of soil
- living organisms- influencing soil formation
- climate- affecting the rate of weather and organic decomposition.
- topography- grade of slope affecting drainage erosion and decomposition.
- time - influencing soil property.
Soil formation influenced by organisms such as bacteria and fungi.
As soil forms, plants being to grow in it , the plants make sure die andmew ions take their place.
