The image formed by a plane mirror is always virtual (meaning that the light rays do not actually come from the image), upright, and of the same shape and size as the object it is reflecting. A virtual image is a copy of an object formed at the location from which the light rays appear to come.

1.The image obtain in plain mirror is of same size of object.
2. The power of image is 0.
3.The magnification of and mirror is always +1 as the image is is virtual and erect and of same size of the object.
4. The image is laterally inverted.
5. The image formed by the plane mirror is far behind the mirror as the object is in the front.
