explain the fourth chapter of "three men in a boat"

Hi bro,
The chapter opens with question of food .they deside to do with the methylated spirited oil as they have had a previous experience when the partafian oil oozed from the nose of the boat to the rudder spoiling the atmosphere .

They deside not to carry cheeses as the narrator has had a very bad experience regarded it. Once he carried large peice of cheese in the train ,all his friends intended to leave him and he was left alone.

Then he follow the mess when they start packing. The narrator volenteer to pack. Gorge and Harris also pack. They all forget to pack one thing or the order montmorency also participating in packing but silently .
