Explain the function of epidermis?
☯ It provides protection to the plant and prevents the cell from damage and infection.
☯ It prevents loss of water (by evaporation) due to the presence of cuticle and prevents desiccation.
☯ It helps in exchange of gases through stomata and keeps the plant part cool by loss of water through transpiration.
☯ It absorbs water and Minerals with the help of root hair.
