Explain the function of human heart.​

The heart is a muscular organ in most animals, which pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system. Blood provides the body with oxygen and nutrients, as well as assisting in the removal of metabolic wastes. In humans, the heart is located between the lungs, in the middle compartment of the chest

Arterial blood (red,O2 rich blood) flows from heart to each part of the body to provide oxygen and nutrients. Venus blood (blue, O2poor blood) returns from the body to the heart. The blood then travels through the lungs to exchange carbon dioxide for new oxygen. The heart is a pump which moves the blood. Hope it helps
