human eye is the sensitive sense organ of human body.
it enables us to see the wonderful colourful world.
functions of main parts of eye
1.cornea -
Courtney is the transparent bulging surface of the eyeball. it provides surface area for light entering into the eye
2. iris
behind the cornea the structure is called iris.
3. pupil
the centrally located colour part is called pupil.
it adjust its size to control the amount of light entering into the eye
4. lens
the human eye lens is a double convex lens called as crystalline lens. it helps in focusing the light passing through it on the retina.
5 retina
it is a thin delicate membrane having enormous amount of light sensitive cells and colour sensitive cells.
the colour sensitive cells are called cones which enable us to see the different colours
the light sensitive cells are called rods which enable us to see the brighter object.
6. blind spot
the region of the eye where the optic nerve emerge to the brain is called blind spot
7. optic nerve
the north which connects to the Brain are called optic nerve.
the optic nerve communicate the message from eye to brain in the form of electrical signals
8. cilliary muscles
the ciliary muscle hold the lens from both the side. by contraction and relaxation it adjust the size of lens.
it enables us to see the wonderful colourful world.
