1- whip up metabolism in emergency by increasing heart beat , blood pressure, respiratory rate, blood sugar level

2- controls carbohydrate metabolism

3- release of sugar from liver, controls nutrient absorption into blood

4- inhibitor of growth hormone , insulin and glucagon
