The purpose of salt bridge is not to move electrons from the electrolyte , rather its to maintain charge balance because the electrons are moving from the half-cell to the other. The electrons move from the anode to the cathode.

1) It neutralises the polarity of two solutions by allowing the ions to move from one half cell to another half cell.
2) It completes the circuit. Circuit electrons are the charge carriers and in internal circuit ions they charge carrier.
