Explain the functioning of human ear.

External ear:

Pinna- collects sound and lead to auditory canal leading to ear drum

Middle Ear:

consists of three tiny bones namely :

hammer,anvil and stirrup(malleus,incus,stapes) and eustachian tube which connects the cavity of middle ear with throat

The three bones are collectively called as ear ossicles.

The stirrup fits into oval window and passes the sound wave.

It leads to cochlea which has a auditory nerve and the sound finally travels into brain where it is understood.
