Parliament (sansad) has many functions.
It consist of two houses i.e it is bicameral.
- Lok Sabha (lower house)
- Rajya Sabha (upper house)
There are various function of the parliament SUCH as :-
- They keep a check on officials if they are working honestly or not.
- They tell others about the needs and aspirations of the citizens
- They make new laws
- They change or alter the existing laws.
- They look into the financial matter of the country and prepare a budget.
