there are many slower processes that go on within the body such a growth.these processes are primarily controlled by endocrine system.the endocrine system controls these processes through chemicals through chemicals called hormones.these are secreted by glands that do not have ducts.such glands are called endocrine glands also called ductless glands.
some of the glands and the hormones they produce are as follows:

1)ADRENAL GLAND:These release the hormone ADRENALINE when a person is angry or afraid.it prepares the body to fight or run away.

2) THYROID GLANDS:Produce a hormone THYROXINE that affects growth

3) PANCREATIC GLANDS: present in pancreas release hormone INSULIN that controls the sugar level in blood.

4)the TESTES produce hormone TESTOSTERONE and OVARIES produce hormone ESTROGEN and PROGESTERONE that controls the release of sex hormones.

5) PITUITARY GLAND:produce many hormones particularly the GROWTH HORMONE (GH).

Hope helped.
