I am the glands of the endocrine system which secretes products, hormones, directly into the blood rather than through a duct. I contain many different major glands in me like the pineal gland, pituitary gland, pancreas, ovaries, testes, thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, hypothalamus and adrenal glands.
My main function is to produce and secrete hormones which are chemical substances produced in the body in order to regulate the activity of cells or organs. These hormones regulate the body's growth, metabolism (the physical and chemical processes of the body), and sexual development and function.
