The gas has a very little force of attraction or is loosely packed.so it takes the shape of the container or vessel.also there is a characteristic of matter which states that particles of matter are continuously in motion.as particles of gas are loosely packed and particles of it are free to move anywhere except outside the walls of the container.so particles of gas fills completely the vessel in which it is kept...
