There are many geographical factors that affect trade like Climate, location, resources, stability etc.

Location is very important because the places or countries nearer to the sea have better trade because they have harbors and it is suitable for trade than places which are too inside the continent.

As for climate, having a good climate results to better soil and which leads to better trading opportunities and also ships and planes can easily access the place if the climate is calm and favorable.
