HEYAA FOLK,


Cell was discovered and named by Robert Hook in 1665. He remarked that it looked strangely similar to cellule or small room which monks unhabited , thus derived the name...

However what Hook saw was actually a dead cell walls of plant cell(cork) as it appeared under the microscope.......
