Answer:

Primary data is information collected through original or first-hand research. For example, surveys and focus group discussions.

On the other hand,secondary data is information which has been collected in the past by someone else. For example, researching the internet, newspaper articles and company reports.

Primary Data:

Primary Data as the name says, is the data which is collected primarily or first hand data.

Secondary Data:

As the name explains, the data is derived from some other data (which may be primary or secondary). For eg.- Newspapers are made from the data collected primarily by a news reporter.
