Phan chu trinh was intensely hostile to the monarchy and opposed to the idea of resisting the French with the help of the court.
His desire was to establish a democratic Republic. He influenced by the democratic ideals of the West, he did not want a wholesale rejection of Western civilization.


Phan boi Chau was one such nationalists who formed the Revolutionary Society with Prince Cuong De as the head in 1903.
His plan was to make use of the monarchy.

PHAN BOI CHAU:-

1. He promoted that firstly the barbarian invader should be pushed out and after attaining liberation, other things should be addressed.

2. He was of the impression that sovereignty should be used to accomplish their objectives.

3. He was not in support of raising people to overthrow the monarchy.

PHAN CHU TRINH:-

1. He wanted to abolish sovereignty in order to constitute a basis for the advancement of popular rights.

2. He was completely against the kingship.

3. He purposed to boost up the standard of living of the people to overthrow the monarchy.
