The image formed by a plane mirror is always virtual (meaning that the light rays do not come from the image), upright and of the same shape and size as the object it is reflecting.

1) Image is Laterally inverted.

2) At the same distance from the mirror as that of object.

3) Always virtual and erect.

4) Image is of same size of the object.
