A series of foreign invasions affected Mughal Empire very badly. Attacks by Nadir Shah and Ahmad Shah Abdali, which were themselves the consequences of the weakness of the Empire, drained the Empire of its wealth, ruined its trade and industry in the North, and almost destroyed its military power.

The Mughal empire declined due to the following reasons.
1. Lack of unity,
2. The last ruler of Mughal empire (aura gazeb) was not a efficient rulers like the before one.
3. All the Mughal leaders followed some policies of ruling , but the last Mughal ruler did not follow these. Aurangzeb always worked for himself but not for the people or kingdom.
4. The British army was powerful
