Globalisation is interlinking of countries.
Globalisation proved to be beneficial for our country in almost every way.
Positive effects of globalisation and MNC's on workers :-
• The Local companies have become prosperous, the companies which supply raw material to the multinational companies.
Companies like Tata Motors themselves are now multinational companies, which is of course a great thing.
• Several Indian companies have been benefited from the increased competition. They invest in new technology and raise their production. They develop connections with foreign companies and that's beneficial for the country as well.
• IT companies have evolved. They provide their consulting services to the other countries and the countries are linked by the products IT industry produce. Computers and all are used to contact one another around the world to access the information instantly.
• New job opportunities came up, as the demand for goods increased and this helps in removal of poverty in the country.
• GDP of the country has increased and the production of goods has increased in the private and secondary sectors and increasing GDP is a sign of development.
• Choice of goods has increased, as when the manufacturers get to know about the type of products produced in the other countries, they try to produce the same or better products and we get a vast number of choices to choose from.
Negative effects of globalisation -:
• Globalisation and the pressure of competition has changed the lives of workers. The workers job are no longer secure and this leads to poverty of course. To deal with the pressure, the Indian companies now employ the people on a temporary basis, this does benefit the company but not the workers.
• To earn profits, MNC's have employed the Indian workers at a very low wages. This leads to inequalities of income in the country.
