Minerals takes millions of years for the formation of minerals. Compared to the present rate of consumption, the replenishment rate of minerals is very slow. Hence, mineral resources are finite and non-renewable. Due to this, it is important that we conserve the mineral resources.

Conquerer2003: not a complete answer.....
Conquerer2003: b'coz the question also asked you to give any 4 measures but you haven't done so.....
shivkumar34: Ways to conserve mineral resources

i. Use of mineral resources in a planned and sustainable manner.

ii. Improved technology needs to be constantly evolved to allow use of low grade ores at low costs.

iii. Recycling of minerals.

Heyy mate pls mark as brainliestttttttttt..........

Explanation:

Mineral resources are being rapidly consumed which takes millions of years to be created and concentrated.

  • Mineral resources are finite and non-renewable
  • Continued extraction of ores leads to increasing costs as mineral extraction comes from greater depths along with decreasing quality.

The 4 measures to conserve minerals are:

  • It should be used in a planned a sustainable manner.
  • Improved technology needs to be constantly evolved to allow use of low grade ores at low costs.
  • Some of the metals are recyclables.
  • Scrap of metal can be used and sore other substitute can be found.
