A regular, free and fair election is needed to give democracy it's strenght because it is the time when people can take decision about choosing the candidate. it is important because in a proper democratic country election comes up with a chance for loosing of those who are currently in power. It is also important because if regular elections are not held, the democratic country may move towards being a country under dictatorship or any other type of government. But the most important thing is that the election should be free and fair and all vote should have equal value.
