3. Fossils helps in drawing evolutionary relationship among the present organisms by comparing with the pre-existing one.

Fossils are remains of dead plants and animals which get burried inside earth under favourable conditions when there is pressure inside earth they change into rock like substance which we call it as fossils.

1)Fossils helps in understanding the origin of life eg:- as many people think that humans have evolved for Africa this is because some fossils and other evidences have found.

2)Fossils tell us whether the animal is homologous or analogous.

3)with the help of carbon dating,excavating,we can know the years of fossils.
