THE MONSOON WINDS that enter that enter the country from the west travelles the cost and then reaches the North east where in Meghalaya it is stopped from traversing further by the gaaro khasi and jaintia hills which results in the accumulation of the monsoon winds,resulting in heavy rainfall and humid climate this is the reason why places like cherrapunji and Shillong are so wet and rainy and humid.
