Pollination is important because it leads to the production of fruits we can eat, and seeds that will create more plants. Pollination begins with flowers. Flowers have male parts that produce very small grains called pollen. Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from one flower to another.

The term pollination  used when plants reproduce . Pollination is a process by which pollen grains are transferred to the stigma and the male gamete produced in the pollen can fuse with the female gamete inside the ovary.

If we look at the plant ,Plant have both male and female parts in which male part is known as the stamen. It is a long stalk found in the middle of a flower and contains pollen at its end and the female part is known as the stigma that can be found at the  center of the flower.

Pollination  is done by pollinating agents like bird, bees , bats and other animals.

Pollination enables plants to produce seeds which can then start the lifecycle all over again.

Pollination helps in the production of fruits and aids in the transmission of features and characteristics from both parents to the offspring.

Pollination maintain genetic diversity.
