Seed is dispersal is The mechanism in which all plants containing seeds are involved in the transport of seeds from their parent plant to justify the germination and survival of some of the seeds to adult plants.

seed dipersal can be done in many ways like:

  1. Wind dispersal
  2. Water dispersal
  3. Animal dispersal
  4. Explosions
  5. Fire ect.

The importance of seed dispersal:

Dispersal of seeds is very important for the survival of plant species. If plants grow too closely together, they have to compete for light, water and nutrients from the soil. Seed dispersal allows plants to spread out from a wide area and avoid competing with one another for the same resources.

Some of the ways seed dispersal happens is by :
Wind - Ex : dandelion seeds are carried by wind.
Water- Ex: coconut shells move through water.
Animals-Ex : After a squirrel or monkey is done eating a fruit it leaves the seeds untouched.
Pollination- Ex: Bees carry some of the pollen grains and disperse it as they move.

Hope this helps!
