India contains an abundance of natural resources, including coal, iron ore, petroleum, chromite, natural gas, limestone, mica and manganese, along with diamonds, rare minerals and agricultural land. India contains large reserves of coal, making it the fourth largest coal supplier in the world. Its resources span the country, appearing in forests, mines and open fields.
Of India's numerous natural resources, coal ranks among the oldest and most lucrative. Coal mining and extraction dates back to the 1770s; since then, India has exported over 30 million tons of coal. India also produces substantial amounts of iron ore, exporting millions of tons annually. India contains rocks and minerals suitable for commercial, residential and aesthetic use too, such as marble and limestone.

Answer:
Natural resources are the stock of nature such as air, water, soil, coal, minerals, animals and plants that are useful to mankind in many ways. There are two types of natural resources-exhaustible and inexhaustible. Exhaustible natural resources are limited and will finish sooner or later. Examples of exhaustible natural resources include coal, petroleum, etc. Inexhaustible natural resources are present in plenty and cannot be exhausted by living beings' consumption, for example, air, soil, etc.
