• The importance of History in social Science curriculum is profound.
There is the old saying that people should learn from their mistakes.
History is but a compilation of people making mistakes and then rectifying it, actions and their reactions, and in general, everything that has shaped the society as we see it today.
Therefore teaching History as a part of the social sciences curriculum gives students the opportunity to understand how we can make better choices in the future.
• I order to teach students history effectively it would be great to utilize documentaries and other visual aids such as historical movies for effective learning.
Also tours of historical monuments is a great idea.
