In 1999, Yugoslavia took actions against the predominent Albanian population in the province of Kosovo. US responded to it and led the bombarding of targets with the air force of the NATO countries around Yugoslavia for two months. This lead to the downfall of the government of Slobodan Milosevic and the stationing of NATO force in Kosovo.
