During our recent production, wire residue on copper wedge is observed which is a complete new type of non-conformity.
It is believed that it is caused by the decrease of copper wire breaking load.When BL drops lower than the wire residue bonding area, wire breaks before the tail breaks.
However, the normal pull test can only measure the bonding strength of the stitch not the wire residue area( which does not exist in normal wedge bond）
Is there a method to prove this matter is caused by wire property change, or we need to consider other factor( capillary, lead frame, etc）？
