Explain the interconversion of three states of matter in terms of force of attraction between the particles and kinetic- energy of particles.

solids hve strong intermolecular force of attraction and low k.E. when a solid is given ext. energy(heat) its particles acquire highk.E. and its attraction become less and therefore changes to liquid....now if u heat the liquid its constiuent particle will acquire more k.E.energy and thereby its intermolecular attaction become negligible and will change to gas phase.
