 Δ the internal  structure of a leaf is specialized to carry out photosynthesis .
 Δ epidermis is found on both the sides of the leaf (outer,inner)
 Δ below the epidermis is a layer of long narrow cells called palisade tissue .     this is followed by a layer of loosely-packed cells called spongy layer.
 Δ  the veins of the leaves contain xylem and phloem tissues . The xylem              transports water to the cells of the leaf. The phloem carries the food                made during the photosynthesis to other parts of the plant.
