Input process Output cycle is used in computers. The data received by computer is called input, after receiving the data it processes it, stores it and generates output.  

Explanation:

  • Whatever is fed into a computer is called input. It can be inputted by another computer or a person. Typing numbers for calculation is input.
  • Computer performs various operations on the number that were typed on the computer. This is called processing. Performing calculation is an example of processing.
  • Storing Computers stores data so that is will be later available for processing. Most computers stores data on hard disk, the data which is frequently used while running various programs are loaded and stored in RAM.
  • The information generated after the processing is called output. e.g The results after calculating the numbers that you entered in the calculator.
