The High Court performs the original Jurisdiction in the following matters :-
● The original jurisdiction is limited but cases related to fundamental rights, divorce, wills and law related to marriage can be brought directly to High Court.
● The High Court has the power to issues writs (orders) for the improvement of fundamental rights .
● Powers to interpret the constitution. This power is also known as the power of Judicial review.
Appellate Jurisdiction :-
The High Court hears appeals against all types of decision made by the subordinate courts . The appeal can be of civil as well as criminal cases. It also hear appeals in matters concerning land revenue and its collection.
