The ‘key elements’ of communication are:

i. Sender: Is the person who is sending the information to the receiver. The ‘sender’ has some form of information, command or question which is put in certain encoded format for sending.

ii. Receiver: This is the person to whom the message is directed. The ‘receiver’ is supposed to understand and comprehend the sent information

iii. The message: Is the ‘content of information’ that the ‘sender’ wants to get across to the receiver

iv. Medium: Is the channel of communication

v. Decoding: Is the process of ‘translating the encoded’ message into language understandable by the receiver.

vi. Feedback: This is the response given by the receiver that completes the communication process.

Explanation:

  • These are the different elements that form the basis of communication.
  • It is like an interlinked loop which is connected with each other to understand the communication properly.
  • All the modes are required for a communication to be completed.
