Explain the larynx function.....


VishnuTejaa: The larynx is another name for the voice box. It's a tube about 2 inches (5cm) long in adults. It sits above the windpipe (trachea) in the neck and in front of the food pipe. The food pipe in the upper part of the neck is called the pharynx. Pharynx is the common passage for larynx and oesophagus.

When we breath the air forces out through the two slits of larynx

the larynx is also called the voice box this organ is located on the top of the neck of tetrapod they can help in breathing, producing sound and protecting trachea against food aspirations
