law of floatation is that if a object is placed on a liquid if the density of the object is more than liquid then it sinks if it is adequate then it neither floats nor sinks and if density of object is less than the liquid then it floats

the weight of object is equal to the weight of liquid displaced by it .the up thirst force acting on the object immersed in liquid
