Heya friend!!
Rajdeep here...

In Act I Scene 3, Bassanio goes to Shylock to ask for 3000 ducats as Antonio's estates at that time was very low. So Bassanio went to Shylock to ask for the money. As they were talking, Antonio arrived in the scene. Shylock thought to himself that Antonio looked like a fawning publican. Later, when Shylock said that he had left his house in guard of a person who should not be trusted (Launcelot) and left the scene to get his purse, Bassanio and Antonio were discussing about him. The above line means that Antonio could see much kindness in the Jew, as he was ready to give the money, although he talked about the bond. Antonio said that the Jew should turn into a Christian, for he turns to be kind.

Hope my answer is satisfactory!
Thanks...
