Answer:

Three factors which gave rise to the Civil Disobedience Movement of 1930 where:-

1. Colonial government's policy of arresting Congress leaders led to violent clashes in many places. In Peshawar angry crowds demonstrated in the streets facing armoured cars and police firing type automobiles. Many were killed.

2. The government's policy of brutal repression whereby many peaceful satyagrahis were attacked, women and children beaten up and about 1,00,000 people arrested all were to contrary to Gandhiji's principle.

3. So as Gandhiji was against violence and because of Gandhi-Irwin pact. (5th March 1931) Gandhiji consented to call off the movement. He agreed to participate in Second Round Table Conference to be held in London.
