The Non-Cooperation Movement was asignificant but short phase of the Indian independence movement from British rule. It was led by Mahatma Gandhi after the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and lasted from 1920 to February 1922. It aimed to resist British rule in India through non-violent means, or "Ahimsa".

the Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi decide to start or non cooperation movement which was a non violent movement it was decided that no one should co-operate with the government.
student boycott school and colleges Lawery boycotted law court.Peasants refuse to pay tax and government survive left government jobs.
The movement became in 1922.Twenty two police man where burnt alive at the Satyagraha at Chauri-Chaura (U.P) when this news reach Gandhiji called off the moment.
