Here are the major factors:-

1) The image of Bharat Mata: Bharat Mata was first painted by  Abanindranath Tagore. She is a calm, composed, ascetic and divine figure. She came to be  associated with the Indian national identity.

2) Revival Of Indian Folklore: It was necessary to make people aware of India's old tradition and folklore. Nationalists started roaming and touring villages and towns searching and recording tales sung by bards. It was important for a country which had been polluted by the corrupt colonial forces.

3) National Flag:- The Swadesh flag was designed and was carried during marches, seen as a symbol of defiance.

(v) Role of the Leaders: Leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatama Gandhi inspired people to fight against the unjust policies of the local government.
