( ) The president of India is elected by the process of electoral collage.

( ) He appoints the PM of India.
He invites the leader of the party which has majority in Lok Sabha and appoints him/her as the PM.
If no political party has majority in Lok Sabha, then the president can appoint the P. M by his choice but the elected P. M has to show his majority within 6 months.

( ) The president can impose emergency in the state in case of war, constitution fall, govt. Fall, threat to the country etc.

( ) All the political works in the country take place under the name of The president.

( ) He is the supreme commander of all Armed Forces.

( ) He appoints the Chief Justice and Judges of the Supreme Court on the advice of the P. M.

The executive powers of the president are as follows:

  •    He is the executive head of the State.

The military powers of the president are as follows:
