The time difference between each degree of longitude is 4 minutes and if we go eastward, the local time is advance by 4 minutes with each additional degree and vice versa.

Gujarat lies between 68°E and 74°E longitude and whereas, Arunachal Pradesh lies between 91.20°E and 97.30°E longitude. So, approximately both the states have 29 degree longitude difference in term of location.

As Arunachal Pradesh lies on eastern side, it will have an advance local time {29×4=116 approximately 2 hours}. Therefore Arunachal Pradesh is 2 hours ahead of Gujaratvin term of local time.
